While completing his master’s degree, Gerald brings a background in data analytics and research-focused reporting to SID. His experience with Excel, Python, and MySQL allows him to clean, study, and summarize large datasets while maintaining accuracy and keeping the research connected to its purpose.

Understanding the Seniors We Serve
Reliable demographic research helps SID understand who lives within its service area
and which seniors may face greater barriers to care, protection, support, and services. Gerald examines factors such as age, location, income, health, race, and living conditions to develop a clearer picture of the community.
Strengthening Funding Requests
Funders expect more than a description of the problem—they want evidence showing who needs help and why the proposed response matters. Gerald translates research findings into concise narratives, demographic briefs, and supporting data that strengthen grant applications and other funding requests.
Supporting Fair Representation
Research can overlook groups when the data or sample does not reflect the full community. Gerald considers equity throughout the research process to help SID include older adults from different backgrounds and present an accurate picture of the seniors within its service area.
