Advocacy In Action
Better Services for Diane
Ninety days of unpaid bills left Diane facing growing charges and possible service shutoffs. An Advocate stepped in before the situation became harder to recover from.
Past-due notices can quickly overwhelm a senior. We slow things down, find the most urgent problem, and help take action.

The Distress
Diane had fallen three months behind. New notices continued to arrive, added fees increased the balances, and she could not tell which account needed attention first. The growing stack made opening the mail harder.

How We Helped
We reviewed every notice, checked each balance, and called companies with Diane’s permission. The Advocate asked about extensions, reduced fees, payment options, and available assistance.

The Results
Immediate shutoff risks were addressed, payment dates were placed on one schedule, and a family member began receiving reminders. She could finally see what had been handled and what still required payment.

Diane's Status
Diane now has a simple way to track monthly expenses and support when a payment problem starts. Regular check-ins help prevent another bill from reaching 90 days past due.
